On 2-3 September in Vladivostok held the second East Economic Forum (WEF)

It took place on the island Russian, in the buildings of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). This platform gathered nearly 2.5 thous. participants, which is 1.5 times more than in 2015.


WEF was visited by leaders of the three countries: Presidents of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and South Korea Park Geun-hye, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the top managers of 57 foreign companies from 28 countries, first persons of more than 200 Russian companies.

common foto East forumThe Forum was held under the motto "Discovering the Far East" and was dedicated to the integration of the territory into the system of economic relations of the Asia-Pacific Region (APR). For two days, representatives of business and government concluded more than 140, prepared earlier, agreements for a total amount of 1.6 trillion rubles.


The forum's program includes more than fifty events, including five business dialogues between the two countries: Russia - China, Russia - Republic of Korea, the Russian-Japanese business forum, Russia - ASEAN Russia - Germany.

As a result of all the events, Russia's president Vladimir Putin formulated the three main directions for cooperation in the region:

Reliable energy infrastructure.
The initiative of companies from Russia, Japan, South Korea and China to create a super power ring.

Transport infrastructure.
Formation of new competitive trans-Eurasian and regional routes.

The total space of the digital economy.
Creating a legal and technological environment for electronic interaction.

September 4, 2016, in the Chinese Hangzhou started G20 summit

Logo G20The main objective of this forum is to coordinate policies among G20 members to achieve global economic stability and sustainable growth of the world economy.


One of the issues of the summit was the creation of a new international financial architecture. During the summit, leaders discussed the construction of innovative, healthy, coherent and inclusive global economy.

At the G20 countries account for over 85 percent of global GDP. They are also home to more than 60 percent of the world's population.

At the meeting of Putin and Erdogan in the framework of the G20 summit in Hangzhou sides came close to the creation of a free trade area between Russia and Turkey and discussed the mutual withdrawal of food sanctions.

Leaders of the G20 countries at the summit in Hangzhou approved the creation of the complex to ensure global economic growth measures. In this connection, it adopted a document named "Hangzhou consensus".


The document is based on the following features: vision, integration, openness, inclusiveness. It speaks of actions aimed at creating a set of measures to ensure the growth of the world economy.
